HUMANITARIANS – (9/12/2024) Arabic is not only a means of communication, but also a gateway to explore the treasures of Islamic knowledge, art, and culture. In the world of khitobah (speeches), Arabic is a special medium for conveying moral messages and inspirations full of wisdom. This was proven by Rasya Murdian Hafiz, a 1st semester student at the Faculty of Humanities, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, who won a gold medal in the Arabic speech competition at the Al-Hikmah Youth Festival.

This prestigious event, held by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of STAI Al-Hikmah Jakarta on November 11, 2024, was attended by participants from various universities in Indonesia, including UIN, state universities, and STAI from various regions. Rasya, a student from Bekasi, managed to outperform his competitors with a stunning performance, reflecting his extraordinary mastery of Arabic and inspiring rhetorical skills.

This competition is not only a competition, but also a forum for the younger generation to deepen their love for Arabic as a language of science and civilization. Rasya’s success not only makes himself proud, but also brings honor to the Faculty of Humanities UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, which consistently produces superior generations in the field of humanities.

Rasya expressed his gratitude and reflection after winning first place. “Success is not about how much we have, but how much effort we put in to achieve it,” he said meaningfully. This message is proof that his success is the result of hard work and deep dedication in learning and practicing.

This achievement is also a reminder that the Faculty of Humanities UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang continues to demonstrate its quality at the national level. With the support of a conducive academic environment, students are encouraged to develop their potential, not only in academic aspects but also in mastering Arabic that is applicable in various fields, including the art of speech.

Rasya’s brilliant achievement received high appreciation from the Vice Dean for Cooperation and Student Affairs, Dr. Galuh Nur Rohmah. “Rasya has shown that art is not only a means of cultural expression, but also a medium that can strengthen the identity of students of the Faculty of Humanities as a competent and talented generation. We are very proud of his achievements,” said Dr. Galuh.

Through this victory, Rasya has emphasized the importance of the role of the younger generation in maintaining and promoting Arabic as a relevant global language.
